DIY FLIGHT CHOICES OF A MISSIONARY BUSH PILOT

This is a classic example of bush piloting. The flight starts out fine, and then the weather changes everything.

DREAD

I remember it well. When John Kennedy won the election, all of us at the college went into dread in unison and prophesied to one another all the evil that would come to America and Christians.

When Lyndon Johnson became President we again went into collective dread. We heard all the grape vine horror stories about the thug from West Texas.

When Jimmy Carter won election we all sucked it in and hoped he would actually behave like a Baptist Sunday School teacher. He didn't, but he tried to be nice and have fun.

When Bill Clinton won election we did a total panic, and we all prophesied again that Hillary would do a coup and take over America. She tried and failed. Bill played the saxophone

When Barak Obama took office we all went into deep dread that we were soon to be ruled by a Marxist dictator from Africa. All manner of evil rumors were in the air.

Now, here we are again..... A Democrat has won the election, and the dread is so thick you can cut it with a knife. We will soon lose our guns, taxes will be raised, the economy will crash, and Karl Marx's statue will be put up in the Rose Garden next to another one of Nancy Pelosi.

Let me tell you the truth. The weather map of the whole USA indicates it is a sunny day today, well, except for the tip of Florida. They may have some excitement. And, I don't know about you, but Texas is still roaring along as usual, welcoming refugees from California and New York and pumping the oil up the pipeline.

Dread is not a word found in the King James Bible, and I for one intend to not give way to it this time. I find that I have one of everything I need, and I am not told in the Bible that I need a President. Here is proof:

Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

No President! In the economy of a true Bible believer, a President is an unneeded accessory which we could get along without.

And, to you red necks who are about to panic over the Second Amendment, here is you next President telling you to buy a gun. The only caveat is, if you tell you wife to buy a double barrel shot gun like Joe did, be sure to teach her to pull one trigger at a time, or she will end up in ER.

By the way, Joe's advice, though well intended, is deadly if you live in the city. Shooting into the sky downtown will get you jail time.
