This collapse of the whole story, along with the collusion by the FBI to help Hillary with her fictitious attack on Trump, makes Meuller and Comey look like fools for taking the thing seriously. In fact, they both may have been in on the attack from the get go. 

In any case, Trump how has the perfectly reasonable excuse to fire Meuller and end the whole investigation. It is headed into la la land.
