The fast train Jerry Brown wants as his legacy will not be all that fast as it rolls into the Bay area. It will have to travel on conventional track. How to get the train over the Angeles Mountains, and into LA, is also turning out to be a trick.
Illegals are eating up the Calif. treasury, and it will get worse when another five million cross the border. California is determined to send working Californians to the street to live in tents as they destroy jobs and tax more and more in order to finance millions of illegal Mexicans who murder and rob them.
California is now mostly Hispanic and illegals. These people have an attitude not found in Hispanics in other US states. They want to take over Calif. and rule. The state will find that White upper middle class will be taxed til they bleed, and the middle class will flee California. This will result in Calif. becoming a Third World nation when the Hispanics decide to join Mexico.
But, today they have a problem they can no longer push into the future. Their power grid is tottering on the brink of collapse.

I lived in Calif. during Jerry Brown's first era of rule, and I understand this man. He will not take action because he is terrified of his Liberal base. But, once he realizes the sky is falling, he panics, and he then goes bonkers and does wild things.
So, why did California end up with the lights going out?
Answer: They destroyed all their nuclear power plants. It was the politically correct thing to do for the Liberal maniacs in the state Legislature. Nuclear power is now anathema to all Liberals. And, some of the plants were indeed aged.

So, as California keeps shooting itself in the foot, you may expect to hear more and more sorry tales of woe. They will be forced, one day, to go with hat in hand to Washington DC and ask for a hand out. Brother, can you spare a dime?
California is simply the first state in the USA which is going into depression at the hands of Progressive Liberals. Maryland seems to be trying to do the same, and Colorado is following along also. This will, sooner or later, divide the nation into two camps, and it will result in the dissolution of the nation. States which follow sound policies will decide they don't want to foot the welfare bill to rescue idiot states.
Get used to it, friend. This is the new normal.
