The Department of Defense has made it official that Military Chaplains can perform same sex marriages on US Military installations.

Here is the logic the Pentagon goons used:


"Private functions are not official activities of the Department of Defense," he wrote. "Thus, the act of making DoD facilities available for private functions, including religious and other activities, does not constitute an endorsement of the activities by DoD."


Now, I have a Modest Proposal. Suppose there are dedicated witches in the US Military who believe that human sacrifices are essential to their religious zeal, that is, "private functions, including religious and other activities"?


I propose that the US Military might want to make an official statement that witches in the US Military (there are some) be allowed to do human sacrifices in privacy as part of their religion. As a matter of environmental stewardship, the witches could be encouraged to either recycle the corpses or eat them.


Only enemy captives would be sacrificed because they could then be listed as "collateral damage".


Since the DoD claims that marriage of sodomites is not necessarily endorsed by the DoD, we jack legs in flatlandonia would not in any way hold the Military responsible for condoning human sacrifices on Military bases, right?


You sure cannot claim that we never get out over the edge in Texas :-)

BE A HORIZONTAL ENFORCER

Now, if you happen to be one of the 88% who do not appreciate horizontal enforcement, I have some suggestions:


1. Learn to have a bad discriminating nature in public and with friends. If some horizontal enforcer starts in bad mouthing non-climate change people, slam them head on without mercy. Demand they produce the actual research statistics, and when they admit they cannot, mock them viciously.


2. When someone makes a statement, during a rough and ready conversation, that, "We need to be a bit more conscious not to offend those people, blah, blah, blah.....", lay it on hot and heavy until the horizontal enforcer is raging mad or leaves.


3. When Bible believers are enjoying fellowship in public, and someone says, "We need to pray silently so we don't offend anyone....." or, "people in this place may not agree with us and be offended.....", stand up, ask everyone in the place to join you in prayer, and pray a blessing on the food and the people present. If you really want to be a Navy Seal type about it, ask, "Now, how many of you folks were offended by being invited to pray?" If someone says they were offended, tell them, "Deal with it friend", and sit down and laugh.


It is time we Bible believer get a lot more militant. Yes, MILITANT-- as in Military-- as in irregulars-- as in soldiers for Christ.

THE OLD COOT

An old prospector named Ralph, shuffled into town leading an old tired mule.
Old Ralph headed straight for the only saloon to clear his parched throat.


He walked up and tied his old mule to the hitch rail.  As he stood there, brushing some of the dust from his face and clothes, a young gunslinger stepped out of the saloon with a gun in one hand and a bottle of whiskey in the other.


The young gunslinger looked at the old man and laughed, saying, "Hey old man, have you ever danced?"

Ralph looked up at the gunslinger and said, "No, I never did dance... never really wanted to..."


A crowd had gathered as the gunslinger grinned and said,  "Well, you old fool, you're gonna dance now," and started shooting at the old man's feet.


The old prospector Ralph- not wanting to get a toe blown off - started hopping around like a flea on a hot skillet.  Everybody was laughing, fit to be tied.


When his last bullet had been fired, the young gunslinger, still laughing, holstered his gun and turned around to go back into the saloon.


Old Ralph turned to his pack mule, pulled out a double-barrelled shotgun, and cocked both hammers.


The loud clicks carried clearly through the desert air.


The crowd stopped laughing immediately.


The young gunslinger heard the sounds too, and he turned around very slowly.  The silence was almost deafening.

The crowd watched as the young gunman stared at the old timer and the large gaping holes of those twin barrels.


The barrels of the shotgun never wavered in Old Ralph's hands, as he quietly said, "Son, have you ever licked a mule's ass?"


The gunslinger swallowed hard and said, "No sir... but...I've always wanted to."


There are a few lessons for us all here:
     Never be arrogant.
     Don't waste ammunition.
     Whiskey makes you think you're smarter than you are.
     Always, always make sure you know who has the power.
     Don't mess with old people; they didn't get old by being stupid.

I just love a story with a happy ending, don't you?

OH, MAMMON, HEAR US

“One hundred fifty years ago Jeremiah Lanphier was a city missionary supported by the local churches of New York City. His calling was to evangelize the sinners of the city. He became so burdened for his mission field and so concerned over their lack of response that he invited the businessmen of the city to meet weekly for prayer. They met to pray for the lost and for revival to be sent from God. Only half a dozen men came to the first meeting.

Very soon the numbers grew until they needed more than one church to pray in. The prayer meetings soon spread to other cities in the USA and overseas. Some have suggested that the revivals which followed the 1859 Welsh Revival Moody’s preaching were the outgrowth of those prayer meetings in New York City.

In the recent Global Financial Crisis there were businessmen praying again in New York City. The pain in their pocketbooks brought it on. I wonder which god they prayed to? And what did they pray about? Did they pray to the Eternal God whose Son poured out His blood upon the cross to ransom lost men from an eternal Hell? Did they pray that precious souls would turn from their idols to Christ? Or did they pray to Mammon to restore the fortunes they gambled and lost? Were the prayer meetings led by broken and contrite sinners who sought Eternal Life from the Life Giver? Or were they led by bankrupt Midases who grieved over treasures laid up on earth, treasures stolen by thieves in high places, treasures so quickly moth-eaten and cankered?

Israel’s worship became so polluted with idolatry that they prayed to Baal in the name of Jehovah. Today men all over the world pray to Mammon in the name of Jesus. If they were to pray to the god they really worship they would cry, ‘Oh Mammon, hear us!!!’

No wonder the heavens are silent.

Now again, in 2011, we see the world teetering on the brink of financial disaster. It will come as no surprise if the worshippers of Mammon call out again to their priests on Wall Street to intercede for them lest they lose all the idols they bought on credit.

“Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts” (James 4:3).
