"OH, MY GOD....."

When you burst out with, "Oh, my God," you have no idea whom you are offending by using his name as an expletive.

EXPLETIVE- An oath or swear word.

So, when you do the OMG thing, you are NOT honoring God. You are dragging him off of his throne in Heaven and rubbing his nose in your vile depraved mind and life.

God is NOT amused. Nor does he forget and forgive. God is holy, and he is just. When you call the judge in an earthly courtroom something that degrades his office and position, you are threatened with being found, "In contempt of court."

So, your OMG moments are contempt of God.

Now, most of you reading here don't care a flip if you have contempt for God. You laugh it off, as if I am just a fanatic of some sort. Well, let God speak for himself, friend:

Proverbs 18:3 When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach.

Psalms 31:18 Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

Job 12:21 He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty.

Would it worry you in the least if God had nothing but contempt for you? That is what is implied in the verse above. If you hold God in contempt, he will hold you in contempt, and, take my word for it, friend, that is not a good thing.

It is time to exalt God and only use his name to exalt him to others and to call on him for help and mercy.
