With this new Pokey-man craze and the progression of technology in freedom liberating applications; I am reminded of what J. Vernon McGee had said about the prosperity that was enjoyed after World War II, that it was the judgment of God on America.
Then I recall a bumper sticker during the Clinton presidency that said "It's the economy, stupid" meaning to me that who cares how the nation is run as long as we have money and our toys, that's all that matters.
Fast forward to today where Donald Trump may be the new President who brings in a flood of perceived prosperity, maybe not real in terms of the national debt suicide, but in terms of spending cash per-capita. When quantitative easing continues and cash is flooding into the market place as fiat cash that creates balloon money, fast spending and fun until the bubble pops.
But during periods of perceived prosperity Americans relax their morals and indulge in their toys and the easy life creating a perfect mentally fertile, sterile mind ready for the next sophisticated phone applications that will lead the lambs to the slaughter with happiness and joy. Who needs shock and terror when we have compulsive hypnotic devices to lead us.
And another quick thought from your friend's blog the NewsUnit. I saw briefly a video that I didn't watch but read the tag line and it implied that the Feds are controlling the economy by periodic infusions of money printing which temporary drives the stock market up into a false bubble, but the point was this: They know exactly what they are doing and the market is acting exacting how they want it to, and since everything is run by computer it is under their complete control and cannot crash- ever- unless they want it to.
And it seems that they can keep printing money until the cows come home forever without a problem. My personal feeling is that they will continue this game until the Antichrist comes around and wants a global economy or currency.
So all this predictions about a spontaneous crash are only feasible if they choose that to happen, or not. With computers running it all there is no way to know if anything is real or fabricated.
I know a lot of predictions predict catastrophe from God's judgment, but until then it can all be wiped out and manipulated by what the classic conspiracy buffs call: "A Silent Weapon for a Quiet War" or something like that.
Doesn't it say For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. I Thessalonians 5:3.

Chris is right in sync with the King James Bible and Jesus' prophecies of conditions just before the Rapture of the Lord's Church and the Great Tribulation following:
Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

So, there is biblical reason to believe that Chris is onto something here. The elite will think they are in control, but Antichrist will overpower them, and it is always possible the American elite will overplay their hand and lose control. This will throw economic power in the direction of biblical prophetic nations, such as, Europe, Russia, China, seven nations surrounding Israel, and the kings of the East, or which China is only one.
What we can say for sure is this...... You who take the King James Bible literally have the front seat on the show, and you have the best information and instincts to forecast. STOP, STOP, STOP playing into the hands of Alex Jones and Glenn Beck and the gurus of panic. If God wants America to prevail until Antichrist arrives, so be it. If God is fed up with the arrogant toy junkies of the USA, then BOOM, we are toast long before the Beast plays his game.
