"EMP ATTACK! WHERE IS MY FLOPPY DISK?"

These Keystone Cops at the Pentagon boldly stand forth and declare that they are hardened for an EMP attack and ready to retaliate at once in defense of the USA.

BAH

READ HOW THEY STILL HAVE NUCLEAR CONTROL SYSTEMS ON FLOPPY DISK

These are clearly the same computer systems that were ready to barf in Y2K. They date back to the 1970s.

Some of you laughed at people who were frightened at Y2K. Well, I had a customer, husband and wife, who were the only techs who had "back door" access to all the computers on a US Military installation in Arizona. They told me they would make it in time for Y2K, but they predicted the Pentagon would not make it, and many Gov. Departments would not make it.

Well, they made it, but it was a very close call. I had another couple who were retired from tech work from the 60s through 70s, and the Gov. tried to get them to come back and crunch numbers for $40 an hour in Washington. They refused, but I learned why the Feds needed dinosaur techs like them. They said the computer languages still used just before 2000 were extremely antique, and only aged techs knew the code.

So, we are still limping along in Fortran and worse.

Thus, when Putin, Xi, or Mamma's fat faced baby boy from North Korea decide to send up a nuclear EMP, the Generals will scream, "Get the floppy disks." The problem is, disks deteriorate, and I am amazed they still read out the data.

Oh, but you may be sure, friend, America is ready for anything.

Story time: A friend of mine worked for a company that made ocean buoys which were dropped into the ocean and tracked Russian submarines. He was privy to some other information because of the testing procedures with the buoys.

He told me that somewhere in the 1970s the Military took ten nuclear warheads off of the shelf that were still within their ten year shelf life. They took them to the South Pacific and blew them all off. ALL TEN barfed..... duds..... big nuclear flatulence, that's all. So, I must conclude that our whole nuclear system is highly suspect. We boast of our thousands of nukes, but how many will go off?

What this tells me is that the President, Congress, all Departments, and the US Military are raging blow hards. They are NOT doing their jobs to defend America.

WE ARE IN DEEP TROUBLE, FOLKS.
